Michał Adamczyk

Data science & analytics consultant · ex-BCG

I help companies turn data into decisions — and into profit. Over close to a decade I’ve sat on both sides of the table: as a strategy consultant shaping recommendations for boardrooms, and as a data scientist building the models and experiments that back those recommendations up. I started in management consulting at BCG, then moved deep into data science and machine learning. Today I work as an independent expert advising teams that want rigour, not hype.

What that combination buys you: I can frame the business question like a consultant, solve it like a data scientist, and ship it like an engineer — without three different people losing the plot in between.

How I help

Strategy & consulting

Structuring ambiguous problems, working directly with stakeholders, and turning analysis into recommendations people actually act on. The BCG-trained half of the toolkit.

Data science & ML

End-to-end modelling — forecasting, optimization, real-time bidding, causal inference and experimentation — chosen for the problem, not for the buzzword.

Technical delivery

Production-grade Python on GCP and Databricks, plus the visualization and communication that make a result land instead of dying in a notebook.

Selected engagements

Across financial services, manufacturing, AdTech, retail and FMCG — from boardroom strategy to production machine learning.

Background

The consulting instincts sit on a genuinely technical foundation. I hold degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science — with theses on PCA / SVD and on stacking ensembles — and I’m a Kaggle Competition Expert. Before data science I built quantitative analytics for a global investment bank’s commodities desk, so the numbers-under-pressure instinct runs deep.

This site is where I think out loud: long-form analyses, notes on papers I’m reading, and breakdowns of what’s actually moving in the industry — every chart generated by code you can read.

Outside work I’m a long-distance runner and triathlete: ultramarathons, a 3:19 marathon, and Ironman races. Useful training for the kind of problem that doesn’t resolve in an afternoon.
